The deal, which will see Frederator Studios handle TV distribution in North America and Studio Moshi manage other territories, is the first project from Frederator Studios’ Too Cool! Cartoons incubator (Bee & PuppyCat) to be developed for traditional international broadcast.
Rocket Dog the TV series (52 x 11 minutes) targets kids ages six to 11 and follows the zany adventures of a young boy and his maniacal, rocket-powered dog.
Roach was initially discovered by Frederator through her popular Tumblr blog, which features the artist’s animated gifs and sketches. She was then asked to pitch a short series to Frederator, and Rocket Dog came to life.
Studio Moshi creates and produces high quality animation properties that entertain and engage children, youth and family audiences around the world, and is looking forward to bringing Rocket Dog to TV.
